What Linda did next…………
Hi Everyone, I thought you might like know what I’ve been up to over the past few weeks. As many of you know, I do some commercial modelling and I’ve been pretty busy on that front, but have still found time for makeup!
I attended the Barnes Charity Fashion Show at the beginning of the month; this is an incredibly professional event which raises money for local charities. It runs over two sell-out nights and is supported by lots of local businesses. One of the things I love about Barnes is that it’s not full of the same chain shops that you find all over the country and make one town look and feel exactly like another. There are lots of independent boutiques selling fabulous clothes, shoes and lingerie that you don’t find anywhere else.
The show was amazing and fairly raucous as the ladies of Barnes showed their appreciation for the male models, as well as the clothes they were wearing! I had a stand at the after party, doing a live makeup demo on my model Mary; great fun but it took a while because we had to keeping stopping to answer questions (and sip Processco).
I did another tutorial video for Look Fabulous Forever Cosmetics last week. If you haven’t seen any, take a look on You Tube; we’ve had over a million views and received lots of lovely comments from viewers. These tutorials were filmed at Google HQ in London with two gorgeous ladies who went away very happily wearing their Christmas party makeup!
Lots of private Clients this month too. I love to make up a beautiful young face but specialise in providing makeup services for ladies over 50. Why? because I’m 62 myself and so have first hand knowledge of the challenges presented by older skin and because as a model, I often find that whilst many of them are fabulouse, many more of the makeup artists I work with (often unqualified and working for free) can only give me the same makeup they do on themselves. It just doesn’t work on a mature face!
